This module aims to give candidates a short introduction on Modernism and Modern Literary Theory. Candidates are expected to answer four questions two on Modernism and two on Modern Literary Theory.

Medieval Literature

6 Units

This module introduces candidates to medieval literature. Candidates are expected to study and answer questions on four of the following works:

1.       Dante The Inferno

2.       Chaucer The Canterbury Tales

3.        Everyman

4.       medieval mystery and miracle plays

5.       Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

6.       More’s Utopia

7.       Marlowe Dr Faustus
